Kallis German Butcher Shop has been in Port Charlotte over 25 years. We enjoy and recommend the sausages, beef jerky, pork schnitzel, pepperoni sticks and grass fed meats with no preservatives. Most of the sausages, brats and knockworst are already cooked or smoked. They also have sausages and fresh Brats you cook yourself.
Prices are reasonable and Kallis has many loyal customers. When the parking lot is full, we come back later to enjoy the personal service.
Jen and I have been on the Dukan Diet since late June 2012 and usually have a sausage or bratworst or Farmers Bratworst or andouille sausage for Lunch. On all-protein days we look forward to pork schnitzel and steak. We have both lost over 35 lbs and attribute a lot of that to the fresh,no preservative meats and sausages we Buy at Kallis and eat everyday.
Kallis supplies pork schnitzel to Disney World in Orlando, so we buy the pork schnitzel 5-6 lbs at a time when it available to make sure we don't run out. Kallis is also the supplier for Oktoberfest celebrations in Punta Gorda and nearby communities. If it's German food in Florida, Kallis may be their vendor.
Do yourself a favor and stop in and visit. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable about their wares. We continually discover new items that we wonder how we could have missed before. Out latest discovery is the freshly ground pork breakfast sausage. We haven't even tried the specialty items in the center and right wall of the store. The people we have sent to Kallis' have raved about Kallis. One couple from the Adirondacks in New York also enjoys Kallis' sauerkraut and the red cabbage.
